If you need to provide someone with a console trace that is not in the default list of traces in Server Admin, you can export the trace to a text file and send it as needed.

Procedure

  1. In your browser, open and log in to Server Admin.
    You can access the consoles for Security Center client applications at the following addresses:
    • Server Admin: localhost/Genetec/Overview
    • Security Desk: localhost:6020/Genetec/Overview
    • Config Tool: localhost:6021/Genetec/Overview
    • Genetecâ„¢ Mobile: localhost:9001/Genetec/console#/Diagnostic
  2. From the Servers list, select your server, and click Actions > Console.

  3. Click the Trace logger tab.

  4. Select the trace that you want to export, and click Export trace logger to clipboard ().
    NOTE: If the icon is not visible, drag the list of traces to make the section wider.

Results

The console trace is copied to your clipboard.

After you finish

Paste the trace to a notepad document and send the file as needed.
