An access rule is a type of entity that defines a list of cardholders to whom access is either granted or denied based on a schedule.

There are two types of access rule that can be applied to deister proxSafe assets:
  • Security Center access rules, which provide or deny cardholder access to deister proxSafe assets. For more information, see the Security Center Administrator Guide.
  • Deister access rules, which apply rules to cardholders when they are in possession of a deister proxSafe asset. For example, if a cardholder is not permitted to leave the building when they are in possession of a key, you would create a Deister access rule called Cannot leave building that removes the cardholder's access to exits, and apply it to the key.
When an access rule that is applied to a deister proxSafe asset is applied to a cardholder profile, the cardholder profile is sent to the Commander system.
NOTE: Cardholder photos are not pushed from Security Center to Commander.
