To view live and playback video associated with events coming from the proxSafe system, you can assign cameras to the proxSafe lockers and terminals.

What you should know

  • You can assign multiple cameras to a locker or terminal.
  • If you do not explicitly assign a camera to a locker, it will inherit the camera that is associated with the terminal.
  • A ghost camera can be assigned to a deister terminal or cabinet. This is not recommended, as ghost cameras do not provide video.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Plugins task.
  2. Select the plugin role from the entity browser, and click the Camera Assignment tab.
  3. Click the button in the Camera column of the locker or terminal.

  4. In the dialog box that opens, select a camera, and click OK.

  5. Click Apply.

Results

Video of the locker or terminal can be viewed in the Monitoring and reporting tasks.
