[KBA-79143] Mercury controllers not reconnecting after disconnection

Mercury controllers that disconnect from the Synergis™ appliance after a period of 24 days do not reconnect unless a software or hardware restart is performed on the Synergis appliance.

Applies to

Synergis™ Softwire 11.0.0 - 11.4.1

NOTE: This does not apply to next generation Synergis Cloud Link units.
The next generation Synergis Cloud Link unit.

Cause

The Mercury driver goes into an invalid state after running for 24 days. After this happens, if the Mercury controller loses its connection to the Synergis appliance, it will not be able to reconnect.

Workaround

Perform a software or hardware restart on the Synergis appliance.

Status

This issue is resolved in Synergis Softwire 11.4.2.
