[KBA-01054] Omnicast™ SDK application freezes when exporting a G64 file
This article explains why exporting a G64 file using the Omnicast™ SDK might fail and cause the custom application to freeze.
Exporting a G64 file using the Omnicast™ SDK might fail and not return an "ExportCompleted" event. This causes the application to freeze indefinitely while it waits for this event.
TCP errors, such as "ARCHIVER_TCPCONNECTION_FAILED", can cause the export to timeout. The object cannot recover properly from this timeout, and following exports for the same video sequence will also fail.
A hotfix is available for Omnicast™ 4.6 SR1 (HF1254). Contact the Genetec™ Technical Assistance Center to obtain it.This hotfix ensures that the "ExportCompleted" callback is always called and that the nStatusCode parameter contains information about the success or failure of the export.
This issue is fixed in Omnicast™ 4.8 SR3.
