Security Center 5.10.1.0 includes the following platform enhancements.

General enhancements

Added support for Okta
Authentication Service role now supports Okta identity provider using the SAML2 security protocol.
New installation options for configuration settings
The Configuration settings page of the InstallShield Wizard has been updated with the following options:
Keep existing settings
Use the existing configuration files detected for an older release of the current major version (5.10). This option is hidden if Security Center 5.10 was never installed on this computer.
Deploy new settings
Disregard any existing configuration files you might have on your computer and install the default configuration files for the version you are installing.
Use settings found in <Security Center Installation Folder>
Use the configuration files found in an older Security Center installation folder. This option is only available if an older major version of Security Center is detected.
Retrieving cloud archives notification
You can now check the status of a Retrieve cloud archives request by clicking the Retrieve cloud archives () icon in the notification tray.

For more information, see Configuring the notification tray and Requesting video archives from long-term Cloud storage.

Security Desk offline mode
You can now use Security Desk in offline mode to search for and view videos with the Video file explorer task instead of the Genetec™ Video Player. When offline mode is activated, Security Desk launches without needing to log on. The Video file explorer task opens automatically upon startup and it is the only task available in this mode.

For more information, see Activating Security Desk offline mode.

Filter for custom fields
You can now filter the values displayed in the combo box of a custom field by typing a substring.
New manage partition memberships option
Admin users can now grant the option to move entities across partitions without explicitly granting the Add and Delete privileges for those entities. Enable this option from the Advanced page of the User management task.

Initialize Directory from empty SQL database
You can now create Security Center roles and plugins using an empty database created ahead of time. This allows for a reduction of SQL Server permissions and separates creation and initialization into different phases.

Record fusion, data ingestion and analysis

Data analysis and data drilling
You can now perform complex scenario analysis on records registered with the Record Fusion Service using the Aggregation widget in the Dashboards task. With this widget, you can easily drill down large amounts of data to discover new information.
For more information, see Performing complex scenario analysis using the aggregation widget.
New data ingestion actions
You can now ingest data on events or through scheduled tasks using one of the new data ingestion actions:
Ingest event
Saves the event to a system record type so you can you can perform correlation queries using the Records investigation task.
Ingest file
Import records from data files through a specified record type.
Ingest from web request
Import records from an external web system through a specified record type.
For more information, see Action types.
New record ingestion events
Along with the new ingestion actions are four new data ingestion events to help you manage your automated system actions:
Record cache ingestion started
An operation to import data into a record cache, triggered by one of the Ingest actions, has started.
Record cache ingestion finished
An operation to import data into a record cache, triggered by one of the Ingest actions, has completed successfully.
Record cache ingestion failed
An operation to import data into a record cache, triggered by one of the Ingest actions, has ended with an error. Partial data might have been saved.
Data file deleted
A data file has been successfully imported into a record cache by the Ingest file action. The data file has been deleted after the successful completion of the import operation.

Map enhancements

Improved name matching for AutoCAD imports
You can now choose a Name comparison option of Starts with or Exact match when associating AutoCAD blocks with entity types.
Apply rotation when importing entities
You can now apply a degree of rotation offset when importing entities to match the mapping of icons from the AutoCAD file to the icons in Config Tool.

For more information, see Importing map objects from AutoCAD and Importing map objects from AutoCAD to geographic maps.

Import multiple layouts in a DWG file
You can now choose any DWG file layout from the map creation wizard when creating a map from AutoCAD.

For more information, see Creating maps from image files.

Federation™ enhancements

Federated records
Records registered with the Record Fusion Service role and their related Record updated events can now be federated. You can view federated records in Records reports and analyze federated records with the new aggregation widget in the Dashboards task.
CAUTION:
The Federation™ host creates a privilege for each federated record type, just as it does for local record types. The privilege is named after the record type. If a federated record type has the same name as a local record type, it would be impossible to differentiate which privilege is for the local record type and which privilege is for the federated record type.
Monitor federated device state
You can now monitor the state of a federated device from the System status task.
Ignore the level of the Federation™ user when prioritizing PTZ control
You can now prioritize control of federated PTZ cameras based on the user level of the Federation™ user or the remote user who issued the PTZ commands.

For more information, see Overriding user levels for specific areas and cameras.

Intrusion detection enhancements

Assign cameras from the Peripherals page
You can now assign cameras to input devices from the Peripherals page of the Intrusion Manager role. The camera is then displayed in the Cameras column.
NOTE: Assigning a camera to an input does not assign it to the Intrusion detection area of the input device.
