By default, when a target enters and moves across the field of view of a PTZ camera, the camera follows the target. You can turn this feature off, so that the PTZ cameras in an RSA zone behave like fixed cameras.

What you should know

When a new target enters an armed RSA zone, the PTZ camera that has the best view of the target follows the target. You can turn this feature off so that the PTZ cameras remain in a fixed position. You can then choose to follow the target yourself by moving the PTZ camera.

The changes apply only to your account on the local Security Desk client.

Procedure

  1. From Security Desk homepage, click Options, and then click RSA Options.
  2. Clear the Use PTZ to follow targets check box.
  3. Click Save.
