While importing a Medeco XT codebook, you see an "Existing credential" error message in Config Tool and Key Programmer.

Cause

This issue occurs when Security Center already has a credential that uses the Raw 256 bit credential format, and which contains the same value as one of your Medeco XT keys.
Medeco XT keys use the Raw 256 bit format. Because this format can contains any data, there is a small chance that a specific key's value might conflict with a credential from another unified access control systems that also uses the Raw 256 bit format.

Solution

  • Delete the credential that is causing a conflict.
  • If that fails to resolve the situation, contact Genetec™ technical support for a solution specific to your deployment.
