After importing an ASSA ABLOY CLIQ key, you must configure the credentials that the key is associated with.

Before you begin

  • Create schedules and access rules. For more information, see the Security Center Administrator Guide.
  • Create cardholders and assign access rules to them. For more information, see the Security Center Administrator Guide.

What you should know

  • Changes made to the configuration of the key are automatically exported to CLIQ Web Manager.
  • Access control schedules are not imported from CLIQ Web Manager. If you want to use the same schedules, they must be recreated in Security Center.
  • Keys are disabled if its credential expires.
  • When a key is added to Security Center, a credential entity is created and identified by the 9-digit serial number that is engraved on the side of the physical key.
  • The format for a ASSA ABLOY CLIQ key is Raw 256 bits .

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the Credential management task, and double-click on a credential.
  2. In the Belongs to field, click the current cardholder.
NOTE: If you assign a credential to an inactive cardholder, the credential will be set to inactive in both CLIQ Web Manager and Security Center.
  3. In the dialog box, select a cardholder and click OK.
  4. In the Assa Abloy CLIQ section, configure the following:
    Download events
This is required for the credential to upload audit logs from the keys to the CLIQ Web manager, and to receive door, cardholder, and credential events in Security Center. When this is enabled, more time is required to unlock a cylinder.
    Enable revalidation
This setting forces the key to be revalidated/reprogrammed at a programming station within a certain period to remain valid.
    Revalidation period
The revalidation period specifies how often the key must be programmed at a programming station. When this period expires, the key is deactivated. The default value is 1. You can set a maximum revalidation period in the Properties page of the plugin role.
    Revalidation unit
The unit used to measure the revalidation period. This is either minutes, hours, or days.
  5. In the Assa Abloy CLIQ - Bluetooth PIN section, configure the following:
    Enable PIN validation
You can enable PIN validation on Assa Abloy CLIQ bluetooth keys.
    Validation interval
The amount of time the key can be used to open a cylinder once the PIN has been validated. The default value is one minute.
    Validation interval unit
The unit used to measure the revalidation period. This is either minutes, hours, or days.
    PIN (6 digits)
The PIN number used for validation.
NOTE: If you change the amount of time that the PIN is valid for, you must enter a new PIN.
  6. Click Save.
