Components

Architecture diagram for the Receiver extension and third-party alarm receivers

The following components are required for a Receiver integration:
  • A Security Center expansion server that runs the Receiver intrusion detection extension 3.1. The extension provides the user interface and enables communications between Security Center and the alarm receivers.
  • (Optional) Events can be georeferenced using the Security Center event & map engine.
  • In Security Center, the Intrusion Manager role receives events from the alarm receiver inputs, reports them live in Security Desk, and logs them in a database for future reporting.
  • An alarm receiver is a device that receives events from many different intrusion panels, either over a telephone line, a private IP network, or the Internet. For a list of supported devices, refer to the product compatibility topic.
