Before you can use tags to manage your messages, you must create tags for the Digital Signage Management plugin role.

What you should know

Tags are part of a global list and can be associated to both private and shared library messages. By associating tags to messages, you can change the displayed messages of multiple DMS entities at once in Security Desk by activating or deactivating a tag.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Plugins task.
  2. From the entity tree, select the Digital Signage Management plugin role, and click the Tags tab.
  3. Click .
    The Add/Edit message tag window opens.
  4. In the Unique name field, enter an ID for the message.
    This acts as the message ID and cannot be changed.
  5. In the Display name field, enter a display name for the message.
  6. Click OK.
  7. To edit the display name of an existing tag, in the Tags list, select the tag and click .
