Before you can trigger simple text placeholders to be displayed on a message, you need to create the Simple Text DMS macro.

Procedure

  1. Open the System task, then click General settings and select the Macros page.
  2. Click Macro () and enter a name for the macro.
  3. Click the Properties tab.
  4. Click Import from file, and in the Macros folder, select the Simple Text DMS macro file.
NOTE: If the file is missing, contact the Intelligent Mobility team at mobility@genetec.com
  5. Click the Default execution context tab and configure the macro settings:
    Placeholder guid
Paste the Placeholder guid string from your simple text placeholder here.
    Message text
(Optional) Text to display when the macro is triggered.
NOTE: This field is usually left blank. If you are running the macro as a result of an event-to-action, the macro displays dynamic information from your sustem, so nothing needs to be specified here.
    Event ID
Paste the Event ID string here.
  6. Click Apply.
