Using an event-to-action, you can trigger messages associated to a tag to be activated
or deactivated on multiple signs when an event occurs.
Procedure

Open the System task, and click the General
settings view.

Click the Actions page, and click Add an
item ().

From the When drop-down list in the
Event-to-action dialog box, select an event type.

(Optional: ALPR only) If you select License plate
read, you can specify a
condition for LicensePlateRead events.

(Optional) In the From drop-down list, select the entity that
triggers the event.

From the Action drop-down list, select Run a
macro.

From the Macro drop-down list, select Broadcast
message.

In the Context option, click Override,
and configure the macro's execution context:

In the Macro's execution context window, in the Tag
name field, enter the name of the tag.

If the event-to-action should activate the tag, turn on the
IsTagActivation option. If the event-to-action should
deactivate the tag, turn off the IsTagActivation option.

Click OK.

In the Effective option, click
Always, and select a schedule when this event-to-action is
active.

Click Save.
The Save button is only available when all the arguments
required by the event-to-action type are specified.
Results
The new event-to-action is added to the list of system actions.
