[KBA-78950] Axis cameras using HTTPS authentication go offline in Security Center 5.7 SR3

This article explains why Axis cameras that have HTTPS authentication enabled might go offline in Security Center 5.7 SR3.

Symptoms

In Security Center 5.7 SR3, Axis cameras that use HTTPS authentication go offline.

Cause

A code change.

Workaround

Make sure that the Generic and Generic Plus Archiver extensions use the same HTTPS settings as the Axis extension, as follows:
  1. In Config Tool, select the Archiver managing the Axis cameras and click the Extensions tab.
  2. Click the Axis extension, and then click Advanced settings.
  3. In the Advanced settings dialog box, in the HttpsOptions row, take note of the number in the Value column.
  4. In the Archiver Extensions tab, click the Generic extension.
  5. Click Advanced settings.
  6. In the Advanced settings dialog box, click .
  7. In the Name column, type HttpsOptions and in the Value column type the same value that is used in the Axis extension.
  8. Click Close > Apply.
  9. Repeat step 4 to step 8 for the Generic Plus extension.
If the Axis cameras are still offline, try restarting the video units for your changes to take effect.

Status

This issue will be fixed in Security Center 5.7 SR4.
