[KBA-01432] Unable to login to HID web portal after changing the admin password through telnet
This article explains why the HID unit web portal admin password may not work after changing it through telnet.
For HID EVO controllers running a firmware version later than 18.104.22.1682, if the admin password is changed through telnet, the new password will be refused by the unit web portal.
A coding issue within the HID firmware.
Reset the admin password by reapplying the existing unit firmware or upgrading to the latest firmware version. For more information on upgrading the HID EVO unit firmware, refer to [KBA-01134] HID firmware upgrade procedure for EVO units.
To ensure a correct password change, only modify the admin password through the controller web interface.
