Hiding keypads for SIP intercoms during incoming and outgoing calls

If you need to hide the keypad in Sipelia™ 2.9 or earlier when making or receiving calls using a SIP intercom, you can change the default behavior.

What you should know

In Sipelia™ 2.9 and earlier, the keypad is shown by default when calls are received or made using a SIP intercom. As of Sipelia™ 2.10, the keypad is hidden by default and you can show it using the Show keypad on call option.

Procedure

To hide the keypad for a SIP intercom:

Do one of the following:
  • Upgrade to Sipelia™ 2.10.
  • Override the default keypad behavior by associating a camera to the intercom:
    IMPORTANT: Adding a new camera to the Archiver role uses a camera license on your system. If you are adding the intercom's camera to the Archiver role, make sure you have a free camera license.
    1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Area view task.
    2. Select the SIP intercom you want to hide the keypad for, and click the VoIP tab.
    3. In the Associated entities section, associate a camera entity to the intercom.

      The camera can be online or offline. For more information, see Associating Security Center entities with SIP intercoms

    4. Click Apply.

    The keypad is now hidden when you receive or make calls from and to that intercom.
