[KBA-00795] No audio with video recorded from a Verint encoder in Omnicast™
This article explains why video recorded from a Verint unit does not have audio in Omnicast™ when the audio came from a non-Verint unit.
When a microphone from a manufacturer other than Verint is attached to a Verint unit, the audio will be available in the Live Viewer but not in the recording.
This setup is not supported. To record audio, the audio encoder (microphone) must be part of the same extension as the video encoder (camera); therefore, the audio must come from another Verint unit with the same discovery port.
