[KBA-01255] Security Desk Terminates Unexpectedly when Enrolling a Visitor Using the "Scan Business Card" Button
This article explains why Security Desk terminates unexpectedly when using the "Scan business card" button to check-in a user from the Visitor Management task.
In Security Desk, when checking-in a visitor using the Visitor Management task's Scan business card button, the fields are properly populated, but the application terminates as soon as the Save or Save and Close buttons are clicked.
This is due to a coding issue.
- Scan the business card.
- Add a space in both the empty Description and Entity Name fields.
- Remove the spaces added in the previous step.
- Save the visitor.
This issue is resolved in Security Center 5.2 SR4 CU1 or later.
