[KBA-00787] Cannot view recorded video with Bosch VRM in Omnicast™
This article explains why users might be unable to view recorded video in Archive Player when using Bosch VRM integration in Omnicast™.
When using Bosch VRM integration in Omnicast™, a search for recorded video might return zero results, even though VRM shows video being stored and recorded.
To troubleshoot the issue, check the following on your system:
1) Network Card Settings
You might have several network connections that are connected to different networks. In this case, Omnicast™ will need to use the first connection in the network connections list; try and make sure it is the Omnicast™ network connection. It is also recommended to disable any unused NICs and rename any current NICs (for example: Omnicast Network Main).
- Open the Windows Network Connections window.
- In the Connections area, select the network adapter that is
associated with Omnicast™ and move
it up to the first position using the arrow buttons.
- Disable unused network adapters.
2) iSCSI settings
Some iSCSI drives managed by the Bosch VRM might need the Omnicast™ Archiver machine name added to their initiator list to work properly.3) Archive Player - Playback videos
When you search for playback video from the Omnicast™ Archive Player, select "all units" as the Source, and you should see the results in the bottom pane.
