When an RSA zone is armed, it is ready to detect targets that cross its perimeter. You can arm and disarm a zone from the map in Security Desk and from the dashboard widget.

What you should know

  • A zone represents the perimeter of a restricted area.
  • By default, an armed zone is green and a disarmed zone is gray. If the zone is red, then an intruder was detected and the zone is in alert. To change the default colors, see Configuring the behavior of RSA zones.

Procedure

  1. In Security Desk, open the Maps task.
  2. To arm a zone, right-click the zone, select Armed.
    The zone changes color.
  3. To disarm a zone, right-click the zone, select Disarmed.
    The zone changes color.
