This article explains how reduce the time it takes for Security Desk to log on to the main directory after upgrading to Security Center 5.4.
In some situations, clients use DNS on their workstations for internal websites, but do not have access to external websites.
When DNS is configured, the client machine will check for Windows updates for certifications. Because internet connectivity is not available, Security Center tries to access internet until it times out.
- Open .
- Open the Local Group Policy Editor and click Public Key Policies.
- In the Details pane, open Certificate Path Validation Settings.
- In the Certificate Path Validation Settings Properties window, click the Network Retrieval tab, select Define these policy settings, and then clear the Automatically update certificates in the Microsoft Root Certificate Program (recommended) check box.
- Click OK and close the Local Group Policy Editor.
