[KBA-78928] Some Sargent Legacy Locks Remain Offline in Synergis™ Softwire 10.7

This article explains why some Sargent legacy locks remain offline in Synergis™ Softwire 10.7.

Symptoms

You might experience one of these symptoms:

  • After enrolling a new Sargent legacy lock in a Synergis™ Cloud Link, the lock remains offline and no events are received, even if the lock is reachable and answers ICMP requests.
  • If you upgrade a lock firmware or reset it (NVRAM reset) when Synergis™ Cloud Link is running Synergis™ Softwire 10.7, the lock might not come back online.

Cause

A coding issue.

Status

This issue is resolved in Synergis™ Softwire 10.8. To get a fix for Synergis™ Softwire 10.7, contact the Genetec™ Technical Assistance Center.
