When you know that a target is not a threat, you can acknowledge the target to remove it from the list of targets and from the map.

What you should know

When all targets in an RSA zone are acknowledged, the state of the RSA zone changes from in alert back to armed.

Procedure

To acknowledge a target from a map:

  1. From the Security Desk home page, open the Maps task, or any task that includes a map.
  2. Open the map, and then do one of the following:
    • Click the target, and then click Acknowledge ( ).
    • Click the RSA zone. From the RSA zone widget, select a target from the list, and then click Acknowledge ( ).
    The target and its associated alarm disappear from the map.

To acknowledge a target from the Alarm monitoring task:

  1. From the Security Desk home page, open the Alarm monitoring task.
  2. Select an alarm associated with the target, and then click Acknowledge ( ).
    The alarm and its associated target disappear from the map.
