[KBA-78383] Certain Axis cameras go offline in Security Center 5.6 and 5.7
This article explains why certain Axis camera models might go offline in Security Center 5.6 and 5.7.
Certain models of Axis cameras intermittently drop offline and are shown in red in Security Center.
This problem affects all units that do not implement web services and that do not support Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP).
A code defect causes this issue.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Remove the Video Motion Detection (VMD) application from the camera web page.
- Reconnect the camera in Config
This issue is resolved in the following versions:
- Security Center 5.6 SR4 CU3
- Security Center 5.7 SR2
