To offload more videos from before and after the event, you need to configure alarm triggers. With the Security Center Fleet Monitoring plugin, you can use alarms from the vehicles to serve as triggers.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool, create an alarm. For more information, see Creating alarms.
  2. Ensure that the GPS unis monitoring the alarms by doing the following:
    1. From the Config Tool, open the Area view task and select the GPS unit from the entity browser.
    2. Click the Properties tab.
    3. In the Recent alarms section, ensure that the GPS unit is monitoring the alarms and configure the time settings to suit your needs.
  3. Ensure your inputs are defined by doing the following:
    1. From the Config Tool, open the Area view task and select the GPS unit from the entity browser.
    2. Click the Inputs tab.
    3. In the Discrete inputs section, ensure that your inputs are defined.
  4. Ensure that your metadata triggers are defined by doing the following:
    1. From the Config Tool, open the System task, and click the Roles view.
    2. Select the GPS unit from the entity browser and click the Metadata tab.
    3. In the Default metadata configuration section, ensure that your metadata triggers are defined.
  5. If you want to automatically offload data:
    1. In the Config Tool, open the System task and click the Roles view.
    2. Select the GPS unit from the entity browser and click the Properties tab.
    3. In the Default offload settings section, select the GPS unit alarm box and configure your offload times for before and after an alarm.
  6. To create an event to action:
    1. From the Config Tool, open the System task, and click the General settingsview.
    2. Click the Actions page, and click Add an item ().
    3. From the When drop-down list in the Event-to-action dialog box, select an event type.
    4. Specify the text string in the Specify a condition field. The text string needs to be an exact match. You can find the string in the Monitoring page.
