Before you install the SNMP Manager plugin, you must complete some pre-configuration tasks.
- Make sure your server meets the recommended system requirements.
- Verify that you have a compatible version of Security Center is installed.
- Unblock the ports required by SNMP Manager.
If you have any other building automation and control plugins (BACnet, Modbus, OPC Client) installed on your server, make sure
they are running the same version of SNMP
Manager that you are installing.
WARNING: If the building automation and control plugins are not the same version you must upgrade them before installing SNMP Manager. Otherwise, one of the plugins will not work after the installation is complete.
Verify if you have RabbitMQ installed on your server.
A typical installation of the SNMP Manager plugin includes the installation of RabbitMQ. If RabbitMQ already exists on this computer, you will not be prompted to configure the RabbitMQ settings, and the port and user credentials that were configured for the other software will be used by the SNMP Manager plugin.WARNING: If RabbitMQ was installed by software other than Genetec™, it will lead to authentication issues. In this case, you should uninstall RabbitMQ and then install it from the SNMP Manager installer.
