Command line arguments for opening Config Tool or Security Desk

To open Config Tool or Security Desk and automatically connect to a Security Center Directory, or to prepare your user's workspace when opening the application, you can use a command line.

The command line arguments for opening Config Tool or Security Desk can be used as part of a logon script, or they can be added to the application shortcuts. The command line syntax is:

Application.exe -d directory_name -u username -w password

The following table lists the available command line arguments.

Argument Description
Application.exe The Security Center client application you want to open (Config Tool or Security Desk), and the file path to that application in the installation folder.
Example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Genetec Security Center 5.x\ConfigTool.exe"
NOTE: The quotation marks (") are only required if some of the folders in the file path contain spaces.
