[KBA-01036] No video archives for a camera on the Bosch VRM
This article explains why you might not be able to retrieve archived video for a Bosch VRM camera.
When searching for video archives for a camera connected through the Bosch VRM, no results are returned even though the camera was recording. You were previously able to view archived video for this camera.
The Bosch VRM identifies cameras based on their IP addresses, whereas Security Center and Omnicast™ use MAC addresses to identify video units. When the IP address of a camera is changed it is considered a new unit in the Bosch VRM, and is no longer associated with the previously archived video.
To fix this issue and re-associate the camera with its archived video, change the IP address of the camera back to the previous IP address.
