Alerts are notifications about time-sensitive events related to public safety, occurring at specific locations.
Types of alerts
Only three types of events are treated as alerts in Genetec Citigraf™:
- CAD calls (only if a computer-aided dispatch system is integrated to Genetec Citigraf™)
- Gunshot detection notifications (only if a gunshot detection system is integrated to Genetec Citigraf™)
- Correlation rule hits (only if correlation rules are defined in your system)
Alert display
Alerts are displayed in Security Desk as a list in the alert tray, and as colored icons on maps (in the Maps task).
