When contacting Genetec™ Technical Support, you need the System ID and the software revision number (the image version) of the Genetec™ software installed on the appliance.
Before you begin
To access this information, you must log on to Windows as the Admin user.
- From the Windows desktop, open Genetec™ SV Control Panel.
- If prompted, enter the password for the Admin user.
- Click About.
- Look under System for System ID and Software revision.
When contacting Genetec™ Technical Support, provide your System ID and software revision number. You might also be asked for a certification number as well as the serial number, which is located on a label on the SV appliance.
