[KBA-01424] Unable to automatically log on to Security Desk when opening it from Config Tool
This article explains why Security Desk might fail to connect to the Directory server when launched through Config Tool.
If the client workstation belongs to a different domain than the Directory server, launching Security Desk through Config Tool, using , will fail to establish a connection to the Directory server.
Security Desk attempts to contact the server by hostname, and is unable to determine the corresponding IP address.
To connect, click Cancel on the Logon window and populate the server IP address in the Directory field.
This issue is resolved in Security Center 5.5GA.
