Known issues are software issues that have been discovered in the current release or a previous release, and have not yet been resolved.

AutoVu™ Genetec Patroller™ 6.5 includes the following known issues:

Issue Description
1678288 When used with overtime parking, the Plate link feature can sometimes go offline when the system tries to upload a read that does not have an associated ZoneGuid.
1037494 If the cellular connection between Genetec Patroller™ and Security Center is lost, there is a short delay before GNSS positions are buffered. This can result in a lost positioning during LPR route playback. This issue is not present when offloading at the end of a patrol, but effects Patroller systems that are configured to send Patroller positions live to Security Center Server.
Workaround: You can correct the displayed route by offloading Patroller data at the end of the patrol.
473328 In the Patroller UI, some buttons, fields names, and messages are not translated into the supported languages.
109291 (Windows 8 and 8.1 only) Your in-vehicle computer’s touchscreen may become unresponsive when using Genetec Patroller™ or Genetec Patroller™ Config Tool.
Workaround: Use the in-vehicle computer’s built-in touchpad and mouse buttons when using Genetec Patroller™ or Genetec Patroller™ Config Tool.
108726 When equipped with GPS and odometry, Genetec Patroller™ may not be able to read plates unless it can determine its initial GPS position; you should be able to read plates with only odometry enabled.
Workaround:
  1. Drive the vehicle to where the GPS antenna has an unobstructed view of the sky. Once the GPS determines its initial position, Genetec Patroller™ will be able to read plates.
  2. If Step 1 is not possible, open Genetec Patroller™ Config Tool, go to Navigation > Odometry, and then enable the option Read when car is stopped. When you restart Genetec Patroller™, it will be able to read plates.
