Version
3.5

To have the latest version of the CCURE Access Control plugin, you must upgrade all of the Security Center servers and workstations that you use to monitor and control CCURE 9000 access control entities. You can upgrade from any earlier version directly to 3.5.

What you should know

  • The plugin must be upgraded on all Security Center client and server computers.
  • It is not required to uninstall the plugin before upgrading to the new version.
  • Upgrades from the Omnicast™ CCURE Access Control plugin to the Security Center CCURE Access Control plugin are not supported. If you have migrated from an Omnicast™ system to a Security Center system, you must uninstall the Omnicast™ CCURE Access Control plugin, and then install the Security Center CCURE Access Control plugin. Your event database will be lost, and you will have to re-create your configuration in the CCURE Administration Station.

Procedure

  1. Back up the Security Center Directory database. Backing up databases in the Security Center Administration Guide.
  2. Back up the plugin role database now. See Scheduling CCURE Access Control database backups and cleanups.
  3. Install the CCURE access control plugin.
  4. After the plugin is installed, open Config Tool.
  5. In the Plugins task, select the CCURE Access Control plugin from the entity browser, and click the Resources tab.
  6. In the database actions, click Database update.
  7. When the database update is completed, restart the plugin role.
  8. (Optional) Enable encryption on the CCURE Access Control plugin. For instructions, refer to the CCURE Encryption Technote.
