[KBA-01002] How to make a PTZ pattern start automatically in Omnicast™
This article explains how to program a PTZ to automatically run a pattern in Omnicast™ after the PTZ has not been controlled by a user for a period of time.
In Omnicast™, when a user controls a PTZ, any pattern that was running on it stops. If you want the pattern to restart automatically after the PTZ has been inactive for a period, you can configure an event-to-action.
- In Config Tool, select the PTZ motor entity.
- Click the Actions tab.
- Click the bottom of the Configuration pane. The Create / edit an action dialog box opens.
- Select PTZ stopped as the Event type and Run a pattern as the Action type.
- Click Save.
Note that the PTZ stopped event is generated when the PTZ idle delay expires. The PTZ idle delay (period of inactivity) is configured with the idle delay timer in the Config Tool, from the Properties tab of the PTZ motor entity.
