[KBA-78985] "Invalid resolution" error for Axis cameras in Config Tool
This article explains why you might receive an Invalid resolution error and cannot see the full list of supported video resolutions for an Axis camera after you upgrade its firmware or reconnect the video unit in Config Tool.
In the Video tab of your Axis camera in Config Tool, the Resolution option displays an Invalid resolution error, and the drop-down list does not show all the resolutions that are supported by the camera.
When you upgrade the firmware on the Axis camera or when you modify the video unit settings and reconnect the unit in Security Center, the anonymous user settings in the unit web page might have been enabled. This change restricts user privileges on the unit to anonymous users, and prevents the current username and password of the unit from being authenticated in Config Tool.
- Open the unit web page.
- Click .
- Clear the following options:
- Enable anonymous viewer login (no user name or password required)
- Enable anonymous PTZ control login (no user name or password required)
- Click Save.
- Reconnect the video unit in Config Tool.
