[KBA-01028] "Waiting for Signal" After Rebooting an ACTI Camera
This article explains why an ACTI camera will show “waiting for signal” in a Live Viewer tile after being rebooted.
If a camera using the ACTI extension is rebooted, "waiting for signal" will be displayed in the Live Viewer tile attempting to view it once it returns online.The Archiver will record properly during this time.
There is a coding issue in the ACTI extension which causes the "waiting for signal" issue.
Restarting the Gateway service rectifies the issue.
A hotfix is available for Omnicast 4.8 SR1 HIP1 (HF82417 or later). Please contact the Genetec Technical Assistance Center in order to obtain it.This issue will be fixed in Omnicast 4.8 SR2.
