Modifying Omnicast™ client application shortcuts using command line arguments

To automatically connect to the Directory or to prepare your user's workspace when opening Config Tool, Archive Player, or Live Viewer from the application shortcut, you can add command line arguments to the shortcut target.

What you should know

When you modify the shortcut, you can indicate which user automatically logs on, which Directory they connect to, whether Config Tool, Archive Player, or Live Viewer opens in full screen mode, and so on.

Procedure

  1. In Windows, right-click the Config Tool, Archive Player, or Live Viewer application shortcut, and click Properties.
  2. Click the Shortcut tab.
  3. At the end of the Target field, add the command line arguments you want to use.
  4. Click Apply > OK.

Results

When you double-click the shortcut, Config Tool, Archive Player, or Live Viewer opens using the settings you specified.
