You must add Guardian Sensors to Guardian Gateways to be able to receive gunshot detection and sensor health events in Security Center from the SDS Guardian system.

Before you begin

Export the sensor configuration from the Guardian Gateway application as a CSV file. For more information on how to do this, refer to your SDS Guardian documentation.

What you should know

If you modify the Guardian Sensors from the Guardian Gateway application, you must delete the modified sensors from Security Center, and then reimport them using the CSV file.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Plugins task.
  2. In the Plugins task, expand the SDS Guardian plugin role from the entity browser.
  3. Right-click a gateway, and then click Import sensors.
  4. From the Import CSV mapping file dialog box, browse to the CSV file containing the sensors you want to import.
    NOTE: The number of lines in the CSV file indicates how many sensors will be imported.
  5. Click Import.

Results

Guardian Sensor entities are created and added under the gateway in the entity browser. They are red until they are connected.
