[KBA-78990] PTZ control stops working for multi-channel encoders after Archiver server restarts
This article explains why PTZ control might stop working for multi-channel encoders in Security Center after the Archiver server restarts.

After the Archiver server restarts, the PTZ cameras connected to a multi-channel encoder do not respond.
If one or more of the encoder channels for that video unit are disabled in Config Tool, the PTZ motor is incorrectly associated with the channels.
You can check if an encoder channel is disabled from the Peripherals tab of the video unit in Config Tool. The channel status displays a red LED ().
- On the encoder, connect all the analog PTZ cameras to channel 1 and make sure the unused channels are at the end.
- In the Peripherals tab of the video unit in Config Tool, activate all the encoder channels.
This issue will be fixed in Security Center 5.7 SR6.
