If a door is in the unlocked state and it is kept open longer than the door held open limit, the Door open too long event is triggered. After the door is closed, the event persists until the door is reopened. Because the door is now in the open state, the Door open too long event is triggered again after the door held open limit is surpassed.
Workaround: To avoid this behavior, do the following:
  1. In Config Tool, open the Properties tab of the door entity.
  2. In the Door held section of the Properties tab, set the Triggering event option to OFF.

KBA-01438: HID Edge and VertX controllers have a vulnerability that allows someone logged on as the root user to execute code remotely. The vulnerability could be exploited using the controller's UDP discovery service to inject commands into the controller, which compromises the controller's security. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.

The following controller patch addresses this security vulnerability: Vulnerability Number ZDI-16-223.
