You can protect your data by scheduling regular backups of the database and video archives. To avoid running out of storage space, it is a best practice to clean these repositories regularly.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have the following privileges:
  • View role properties
  • Modify role properties
  • Plugins

What you should know

It is a best practice to schedule all database and storage maintenance during non-peak hours.


  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Plugins task.
  2. From the entity browser, select the Interview Room Manager role and click the Resources tab.
  3. Click Cleanup (), select how long to keep data, choose when to delete old data, and then click OK.
  4. Click Backup/Restore (), choose the location for backup files, enable automatic backups at least once per week, and then click OK.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Configure a retention period for your video files.
  7. Schedule automatic backups of your video archives.
