[KBA-01253] High CPU Usage when Viewing Several Cameras in Security Desk
This article explains why Security Desk might use a lot of CPU resources when viewing multiple cameras simultaneously, resulting in a sluggish workstation.
When viewing multiple simultaneous camera streams in Security Desk, the workstation becomes sluggish and, sometimes, unresponsive. Investigating in Task Manager shows that CPU usage is constantly at or beyond 80%.
This can occur when the DirectX, .Net Framework, and graphics card drivers are not running the latest versions. Users should upgrade these to avoid issues.
