To integrate KiwiVision™ video analytics in Security Center, you must activate the KiwiVision™ video analytics module on all Security Center servers and client computers from which you want to manage KiwiVision™ video analytics.

Before you begin

  • Read the release notes for any known issues, limitations, supported firmware, and other information about this release.
  • Install a supportedSecurity Center version on the server.
  • To ensure that your Security Center license has a valid certificate for the KiwiVision™ video analytics module, your license must contain a valid intrusion detector part number. These part numbers support one intrusion detector for each analytic connection.
    NOTE: The license number is included in the product-release email sent by the product manager of Genetec Inc.

What you should know

The KiwiVision™ video analytics module is installed with Security Center and disabled by default.

Procedure

  1. Contact Genetec™ Customer Service to activate the KiwiVision™ video analytics module.
  2. (Optional) Contact Genetec™ Customer Service to order additional part numbers or activate additional intrusion detector licenses.
    IMPORTANT: The Restart Genetec™ Server option is selected by default. You can clear this option if you do not want to restart the Genetec™ Server immediately. However, you must restart the Genetec™ Server to complete the module activation.
