After importing an ASSA ABLOY CLIQ key, you must configure the
credentials that the key is associated with.
Before you begin
- Create schedules and access rules. For more information, see the Security Center Administrator Guide.
- Create cardholders and assign access rules to them. For more information, see the
Security Center Administrator
Guide.
What you should know
- Changes made to the configuration of the key are automatically exported to CLIQ Web Manager.
- Access control schedules are not imported from CLIQ Web Manager. If you want to
use the same schedules, they must be recreated in Security Center.
- Keys are disabled if its credential expires.
- When a key is added to Security Center, a
credential entity is created and identified by the 9-digit serial number that is engraved
on the side of the physical key.
- The format for a ASSA ABLOY CLIQ key is Raw 256 bits
.
Procedure

From the Config
Tool homepage, open the
Credential management task, and double-click on a credential.

In the Belongs to field, click the current cardholder.
NOTE: If you assign a credential to an inactive cardholder, the credential will be set to
inactive in both CLIQ Web Manager and Security Center.

In the dialog box, select a cardholder and click OK.

In the Assa Abloy CLIQ section, configure the following:
- Download events
- This is required for the credential to upload audit logs from the keys to the CLIQ Web
manager, and to receive door, cardholder, and credential events in Security Center. When this is enabled, more time is
required to unlock a cylinder.
- Enable revalidation
- This setting forces the key to be revalidated/reprogrammed at a programming station
within a certain period to remain valid.
- Revalidation period
- The revalidation period specifies how often the key must be programmed at a
programming station. When this period expires, the key is deactivated. The default value
is 1. You can set a maximum revalidation period in the
Properties page of the plugin role.
- Revalidation unit
- The unit used to measure the revalidation period. This is either minutes, hours, or
days.

In the Assa Abloy CLIQ - Bluetooth PIN section, configure the
following:
- Enable PIN validation
- You can enable PIN validation on Assa Abloy CLIQ bluetooth keys.
- Validation interval
- The amount of time the key can be used to open a cylinder once the PIN has been
validated. The default value is one minute.
- Validation interval unit
- The unit used to measure the revalidation period. This is either minutes, hours, or
days.
- PIN (6 digits)
- The PIN number used for validation.
NOTE: If you change the amount of time that the PIN
is valid for, you must enter a new PIN.
