To prepare your SAMM Fotas
devices for integration with Security Center, you must
configure the SAMM Fotas system to communicate with the Genetecâ„¢
Restricted Security
Area Surveillance (RSA Surveillance)
plugin. For specific details about configuring your devices and software, refer to the
SAMM Fotas documentation.
Before you begin
- Make sure that your SAMM Fotas system is operating as per the
manufacturer's specifications.
- Make sure that your SAMM Fotas devices and software are compatible with the RSA Surveillance plugin. For the latest compatibility
information, see Supported plugins in Security Center on the
Genetec TechDoc Hub.
What you should know
This task describes in a general way how the
SAMM Fotas system needs to be configured for it to communicate
with the plugin. For specific details about the configuration of your devices and
software, refer to the SAMM Fotas documentation.
Procedure
-
Deploy and configure the SAMM Fotas system as described in the
SAMM Fotas documentation.
-
For some organizations, network security policies require that the
IP devices, routers, and switches in their network block unused ports. If your
organization has such policies in place, then make sure to open the TCP port that the
RSA Surveillance plugin and the SAMM Fotas system use to communicate.
-
Generate a token on the SAMM Fotas web client.
It allows
RSA Surveillance to communicate with
the API.
NOTE: SAMM Fotas uses port 80 by
default.
