To prepare your Southwest Microwave devices for integration with Security Center, you must configure the Southwest Microwave system to communicate with the Genetecâ„¢ Restricted Security Area Surveillance (RSA Surveillance) plugin. For specific details about configuring your devices and software, refer to the Southwest Microwave documentation.

Before you begin

  • Make sure that your Southwest Microwave system is operating as per the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Make sure that your Southwest Microwave devices and software are compatible with the RSA Surveillance plugin. For the latest compatibility information, see Supported plugins in Security Center on the Genetec TechDoc Hub.

Procedure

  1. Make sure that the Southwest Microwave processor modules are configured for Connection mode active.
  2. Make sure that the processor modules are using an unencrypted connection, not an SSL certificate.
  3. Note the following information, as you will need it to configure the plugin later:
    • IP address of the processor module
    • TCP port on the processor module that is used for remote connections
    • Username and password used for remote connections
