A KiwiVision™ positional tracking camera is a regular video surveillance camera used as a short-range sensor by your RSA Surveillance system. This is accomplished by applying a positional tracking scenario to the camera using the KiwiVision Security video analytics module.

About the KiwiVision Security video analytics module

The KiwiVision™ Security video analytics module is part of the KiwiVision™ video analytics plugin, and adds analytics capabilities for security monitoring to Security Center.

The positional tracking scenario is a video analytics scenario specifically designed to transform a regular Security Center camera into a short-range sensor, capable of communicating with the RSA Surveillance system as a tracking system.

IMPORTANT: You need the license option GSC-GAP-RSA-1VAS to unlock the postional tracking scenario in the KiwiVision Security video analytics module.

Integration overview

To use a regular camera to detect and track intruders with your RSA Surveillance system, you must:
  1. Prepare your camera for KiwiVision positional tracking.
  2. Add your KiwiVision camera as a tracking system to Security Center.
Best Practice: Make sure you have someone on site to assist you with the camera configuration. You will need to talk live to that person while configuring your cameras. That person must also be equipped with a GPS that can display the coordinates in Decimal degrees.
