If you are unable to log in to Server Admin, it might be because the certificate for the Security Center server expired and the HTTP port is disabled. You can resolve this by re-enabling the HTTP port and updating the certificate.
Is the HTTP port of the Security Center server disabled?
To verify if the HTTP port is disabled, you must do the following:
- Open the GenetecServer.gconfig file on your Security Center server. By default, the file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Genetec Security Center 5.x\ConfigurationFiles.
- Verify if the file contains the following section of code:
<ServerAdminService http="false" />
.
-
If yes:
- Re-enable the HTTP port of the Security Center server.
- Log in to Server Admin using HTTP.
- Update the certificate on the server:
- In Server Admin, select the server with the disabled HTTP port.
- In the Secure communication section, click Select certificate.
- Choose a certificate and click Select.
- Click Save.
- (Optional) If you can log in to Server Admin, you can disable the HTTP port of the Security Center server again.
- If no: Contact Genetec™ Technical Assistance Center (GTAC) at https://gtap.genetec.com.
