If an emerging situation does not automatically trigger an incident in your Security Center Incident Snapshots Generator plugin, you can trigger an incident manually.

Before you begin

Ensure you have the required Incidents snapshots monitoring privilege.

What you should know

You can trigger incidents from the dedicated Incident snapshots monitoring task. You can choose from a list of incident types configured by your administrator. In your Security Desk workspace, you can only see the incident that you create if you are a configured recipient of that incident type.

Procedure

  1. From the Security Desk homepage, open the Incident snapshots monitoring task.
  2. Click the Trigger incident button.
Incident snapshots task with the trigger incidents button highlighted.
  3. In the Trigger incident dialog box, select the desired bank branch and incident type.
Trigger incident dialog box with bank branch and incident type selected.
  4. In the Description field, enter a short description.
  5. In the Start time field, enter the time the chosen incident began.
  6. In the Time limit field, enter the number of minutes that the incident was active for.
  7. Select the Clearance required checkbox to require the operator to give clearance before the incident is uploaded.
  8. Click OK.

Results

The incident is created and appears on the incident list. The name of the user who manually triggered the incident is recorded in the incident snapshots details and in the Incident snapshots audit reports.
