Configuring GPS unit alarms - Vehicle Monitoring 2.3.18.0

To offload video from before and after a GPS unit alarm is triggered using the Security Center Fleet Monitoring plugin, you must configure an alarm. With the Security Center Vehicle Monitoring plugin, you can use alarms from the vehicles to serve as triggers.

1. On the vehicle end, from the Config Tool, create an alarm. For more information, see Creating alarms.
   IMPORTANT: For the alarm to act as a trigger for video offload, you must add the GPS unit as an associated entity for the alarm.
2. Ensure that the GPS unit is monitoring the alarms by doing the following:
   1. From the Config Tool, open the Area view task and select the GPS unit from the entity browser.
   2. Click the Properties tab.
   3. In the Recent alarms section, ensure that the GPS unit is monitoring the alarms and configure the time settings to suit your needs.
   4. Ensure that the alarm has a GPS unit as a source or as an associated entity.
